Fakarava atoll
Fakarava is the second largest atoll in French Polynesia with 60 km long and 25 km wide.
The main two villages are Rotoava, North (near the pass Ngarue and the airport) and Tetamanu, South. This atoll, along with 6 other atolls in the same area, are protected and labelled as "Biosphere Reserve" by Unesco, which highlights the wealth of the region's ecosystem.
Excursions to discover under water species, such as grouper blue, marbled loach, the manta ray, and the highest concentration of sharks... On the island we will find pearl farms, fishermen, handcraft and lots of coconut trees that are used for the production of the famous "Monoi de Tahiti"
The most experienced divers have visited Fakarava and many writers have described this particular feeling of calm and pristine beauty.
